if a new extention is added to ds2000 PBX unit, does the new extention needs to be programmed for extention number or the unit will assign one.

Have you taken any time in the last two months to read any of the manual that you were linked to?

The question you asked is seriously basic. So here's the basic answer. Yes. Now plese take the time to read the manual or perhaps an NEC DS-2000 guru will give you a price to help via PM.

Depends if the numbering for extensions is populated or is set to UND.
