Has anyone found a SIP client for Droid or iPhone that works on the SV8100 (as a 3rd party SIP device/station)?
I have heard that Counterpath's Bria and the 3CX Droid clients both work with the DSX. I am going to do some experimentation with that configuration later this week.
Just wondering if anyone has used something similar with the SV8100 and what the results were. If I have success onthe DSX, I may try them with the SV8100.

I have used the 3CX before with some success but since some network changes were done here I haven't been able to get it to register..

Just to report back, we had success in registering both SIP clients on the DSX. The Counterpath Bria (Motorola Droid X) and the 3CX (HTC Droid Incredible) both worked. Using our internal WiFi, the registration was quick and call quality was good. The Bria would not run on Verizon's 3G network. The 3CX did run on 3G. Sound quality wasn't great on 3G, but not terrible either.
From a functionality perspective, they are limited. I would equate it to an analog phone with no features. Neither client supports a hookflash capability so essentially the user is limited to answering or placing calls and hanging up, but no capability to transfer, park, hold, etc.
I will say that overall I am impressed with the DSX. Once NEC did away with the UX and forced us into the software assurance world of the SV, we needed a cost effective product for price conscious buyers. I can say that the DSX has filled that niche rather well.
I'll report back once I've had a chance to use the 3CX on the 8100.

Brandon you should look into the SL1100 as well. It is basically a dummied down SV8100 so if you are used the UX you will be familiar with 90% of the programming of the 1100.
