Has anyone out there installed an SV8100 with a UCB or inUCB blade yet? We have a few installed already and I would like to get some feedback from you and possibly talk to you in more detail about your experiences.

I am certified on it. After going and SEEING it I was so exited to actually get one I certified the next day. After going through the class and cert process I don't think the blade is worth putting in because it's based on XP and the CPU power isn't good enough IMHO. Now the server is another story it has a TON of potential and if you need what it offers it's a great deal IMHO. But, that being said, the ACD, Flash based vmail and VRS and reporting package that the system already has is DAMN good and can actually do a few things the server cannot.

Hi Coral Tech, Who did the certification NEC or Zeacom?? We have only installed on down here and that was an upgrade from a PC based one on an 2000 IVS that went to a SV8100. At present we're having a hard time justifying the price it you want ACD.. May as well go with the server version..

Certified and have 2 server based UCB installed on 8100. I have about a dozen installed on IPS and 8300.
Personally I think it works better on the IPS/8300.
Are you having issues with something on the 8100?
Is it a blade or server?

Personally I think it works better on the IPS/8300. You can say that again. Pity NEC J didn't develop full OAI on the 8100 as they did on the 830o which make installation / operation way better than now..

UCB does have some significant issues on the 8100 because of the lack of OAI. I have installed several UCB servers on 8300s and 8100s and the 8300 integration is much more functional and stable. UCB is an awesome product IMO and most of the issues are related to the NEC product than UCB. The features that UCB offers in my experience are pretty much unmatched by any product out there. The NEC TSP is simply a workaround for any type of integration on the 8100 and there are some other gotchas that are not quite so well known. I have installed a couple 8100/UCB where the client was thrilled but those were instances where there was no call center just EI, UM, etc.

Our biggest issue with selling UCB is the price. It's a tough sell in this economy.
The product and support are phenomenal.
