Greetings,

System: NEC Univerge NEAX 2000 IPS
Voice Mail: NEAXMail IM-16 LX v9.0
Instrument: NEC D-term Series i, 16 button

We have one extension that when the dedicated "Message" button is pressed, we get a fast busy signal instead of it dialing one of the extensions to access voice mail.

We can dial one of the voice mail extensions directly from that extension and that works.

What option(s) in the NEAXMail software for that extension must I enable/configure to get the dedicated "Message" button to dial voice mail?

Or, what is the key combination that can be entered at the instrument to accomplish the same?

Thanks in advance,

Typically you assign button 99 (the message key) to be a speeddial bin like f1109 or f1119 in CM 9000 and then program the key from CM 740 or right from the phone to dial your voicemail pilot.

By default the button is assigned as an fao46 which will only call voicemail IF you have a message.

you will need to make sure your phone has a unique speed dial bin assigned in CM 73.

I usually program it as a F1098 and then set CM5115 to the VM pilot.

Glad to help. It's handy when the speed dial bin memory either wasn't set up or is screwy as hell.
