My customer is going from a PRI back to loop start C.O lines. Currently the PRI is Route 11. I have not done any least cost routing in a long time. I remember that I do have to go into 8A4005 and send everything to my new Rt10. But then I want my second choice to go to Rt.9. I cant remember what I do prior to changing everything in 8A4005 to go to 0010. Thank you in advance for your help.

8a4005 will steer your digits dialed to a pattern...

So:
8a4005 > 12 = 0001
8a4005 > 13 = 0001

etc...

Then in 8a0001 (in this example) you would say:

8a0001 > 1 > 01010 ( 1st dialing choice =pattern 10 route 10)

8a0001 > 2 > 00001 (2nd dialing choice = pattern 0 route 1)

etc...

Well now we are just going to send everything to Rt 10. So would it be 8a0010 > 1 > 01010 or does it stay 8a0001 > 1 > 01010 then go to 8a4005 > 12 = 0010

8a0001 or 8a0010 depends on whether you have

8a4005>xxx>0001 or
8a4005>xxx>0010

The four digits in the second data become the "yyyy" of the next command.

If you're sending it out trunk group 10, you could say

8a4005>xxx>0001
8a0001>1>01010

OR

8a4005>xxx>0010
8A0010>1>01010

usually the second system makes more sense to the programmer later, but either combo will do the job.

BTW, if IPS2000 LCR makes almost no sense to you, don't feel bad. It took a while to get it in certification, and I almost thought Georg was screwing with us.

Thank God for P.T. at NTAC ("Mr. Stuff".)

Thank you for the help. Now that I programmed it all they decided today to go with the IP lines also so now I have to go back and reprogram everything again. But once I started the programming I started remembering some of it.
