I'm having an issue with connecting to the webpro on the NEC Aspire Webpro. If I connect directly to the port (laptop to NEC) I am able to connect. If I run the cat5 to the Netgear switch, I get either very limited connectivity(intermittent) or no connectivity at all. Can anyone lend information on this?
This is a netgear gigabit switch. The switch is new. The cables have all been tested.

What kind of patch cords are you using? To connect from pc to phone system you use a cross over. Wired A on one end and wired B on the other. When using a switch you use a regular patch cord on the nec and computer. Did you check your IP's as well?

Possibly a bad cord, bad port or an IP conflict on the network. It's definitely not the Aspire.

Hi, I had this problem previously and it was on here that I found the answer link Netgear SmartSwitch has built in Voice VLAN setup. Click on Switching -> Voice VLan and set to disable. Hope this work for you too. Regards M
