I installed a "refurbed " SLI 8 ETU today in a Electra elite
I set the slot card type as a SLI , all I get on all 8 ports is talk battery no ICM dial tone
I don't think there is any other programming involved
I'm thinking its a bad card
am I missing anything ?

I did a power up and down reset, I was just looking at the manual should I do the "Second Initialization"?
I saw that in the flow chart but I misread the manual while on site I thought it said I wold lose all data , rereading it looks like the data stays intact

A reset is all it should take. I would guess a bad card.

Skipp, Are you adding the card or replacing one? If you are adding, what is your port count? Are there extension numbers assign to the ports? I might be wrong but something tells me if the analog port has no extension number assigned you won't get dial tone.

Also, you didn't specify B2-48 or 192, IPK, IPKII.
The B2-48 supports a max of 48 ports, of which 32 max can be phones and 16 max can be CO lines. this can be doubled with a second cabinet.
