I am very used to sv8100 and IPK2 but now I've been thrown in to an 8300 install and i need to set up (I may say this wrong) translation tables from the ISDN PRI connection. they want to use the last 3 digits as an extension number but when the 7 or ten digits is dialed they want it to ring the extension. eg 555-1222 rings directly to ext 222. Any info would help. Thank you so much.

In cmd 3512 you tell the system how many digits to use from the incoming ISDN. However to complicate things NEC made a setting of 0 = 1, so if you are using 3 digits you set it to 2!
Now if your extension number range matches the incoming range, that is all you have to do. If they don't match then you need the commands given by the previous poster plus one that everyone forgets to mention. Cmd 3518 needs to be set to 0 to tell the system that digit conversion is allowed on this route!

CM 1212 CM 1213 CM 5005
Example: you want station 6000 to show 2142626000 as the outbound CID
In CM 5005 put in the first 6 digits of your DID block in table 01 : 214262
In CM 1213 put your phone in table 01
In CM 1212 Put in the last 4 digits 6000
or
If you want ALL phones to show the same number, just put the full number in 5005 and skip CM1212
I will usually build 2 tables in 5005. One for direct lines and one with the main BTN. Then use 1213 to assign a phone to either table.
Then common area phones like the lobby phone, workrooms, phones without DIDs etc... will only show the main number when making outbound calls
Good luck!
