Would there be any reason why an IP Phone would not work over a VPN.

I can't even ping the SV8100 IPLA card. Works fine on the Same LAN. I can Ping other Devices over the VPN so I know the VPN is up an working.

Any ideas

Gateway on the SV8100 could be wrong.

Has to be the VPN setup. Best bet is to wireshark it. If all the simple things are checked like IP addresses etc, time to move on to the VPN setup to make sure it's passing traffic properly.

Use wireshark and examine the incoming traffic from the Ip phone to the phone system. Some VPN solutions change the MAC address in the header message to the MAC of the VPN tunnel. If the phone was registered somewhere other than where it is now it will not work until you clear things out. Also if you have multiple phones at the location with the VPN they could be using the same MAC address of the VPN router.

Ya that the next step, but I was thinking since it was a demo system it might not have the ability to have phones off the network.
