This is my second Cisco AP1142n install. The first one installed perfectly. I"m working on the second install. The IP has been assigned via DHCP and I know the IP address of the unit. I used the MAC address to verify.
1. I cannot connect to it using the web GUI. From what I have read the image out of the box must be WLAPP and I need it to be Autonamous. Is this correct? 2. Also apparently you have to be a BP to get the Autonamous IOS image. Is this correct?
Thanks!

I have installed Cisco PA's but were were controlled by Cisco AP controllers. Have you tried some of the Cisco forums to get a response to this question? I also found the configuration guide. Take a look and see if it has the answer for you. https://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/wi...A1/configuration/guide/scg12421aJA1.html

My hunch was correct. The AP had the wrong IOS image. I returned it for an autonamous AP.
Thanks!
