I'm having a problem with this voicemail turning off message waiting lights on a DXP w/17C Software. I've used the following codes; turn on light= ,*3,x turn off light= ,#3,x It is a 16 port voicemail with the last 4 ports enabled for outgoing calls to turn off the message waiting indicators. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why aren't you using a serial link?

never have been able to get this site serial linked. Neither rs232 will link up with the voice mail. After we tried it for a while and kept getting the 6701 in the error log then the com ports on the pc locked up and kept saying they were still in use when we tried to connect with vmmi from the vmail pc. We gave up and just removed serial integration and went with the codes.

First make sure you can turn message lights on and off with those codes from a digital set. I've seen sites where the default codes were changed.

Have you rerun First time setup and say no to using serial connection?

It works using a butt set when the phone doesn't have any messages....If the phone has a message it will not turn off the light...
