Ladies and Gentlemen:
Does anybody know how I can block the announcer that says “there is a call for so and so†during an incoming call. I am using Octel 50 Voice mail system.

see if you can find out which file it is. rename it and then recreate it and just put a couple of XXX in the file. It should try aand play the file since it sees it but you should not hear it.

You only get this voiced prompt if you are supervising transfers. If you want to keep supervision on, you can disable receptionist option #10 in setup to eliminate it.
