I have a Flash that has been in service on a DK40 for quite awhile. All of a sudden the cust calls and states flash is not processing calls. I went out and flash shows port one led solid- cannot communicate with serial port 2 to do local admin, and system is locked up. Long story short, I've found out that when it shuts down at 0130 to do maintenance, it locks up, craps out and never restarts correctly. I've disabled the maintenance schedule in system config to get around. Any ideas?? Is my working system file corupt?? What kind of cable do I use to monitor my boot up in hyper-terminal- null or straight? Also does stratagy flash create a stratagy.log file like stratagy 6? And if it does how do I get to it to delete? I've used trace log and it shows no errors on this. It is frustrating. I've done the scandisk and reboot. I know the pc based versions of voicemail like the back of my hand. But I can't figure out how to get to the DOS prompt to dig deeper into this- if there is one. Any ideas on this???

My guess is your out of memory. Flash comes with a 48 Compact Flach card, it can be expaneded to a 512 and 44 hours of storage. But in a pinch have the customer go and delete old messages out of there mailboxs. As far as the upgrade it can not be done by a layman there are some special parts needed.

check mailbox "0" it always seems to get over looked or check, most installers will have mailbox "0" store the message then copy it to another mailbox. I have had alot of voicemail's where mailbox "0" is full, causing various problems

Been down this road before. If the storage room is maxed out then ALL of the port LEDs will be solid, not just one. The flash card has gone bad and will need to be replaced. The data on it is most likely corrupted.
