And the sad thing is, some fool will buy the damned thing.
I ought to buy monster cables speaker cables, re-brand them with some stupid name, write a page of BS about them, and sell them for 1K. I could finance my CO project that way...
No, that won't work. I got scruples.

I wonder if I used 100 buck per foot current loop cables, if my TTY units would have more accurate text reproduction between each tune-up? I am sure that those ultra pure electrons and the "creamy smooth" DC current would do wonders for my 60 year old selector magnets...

Monster Cable is a big rip off too.

Remember the test with monster cables versus 2 pieces of coat hanger?

I never got the "Monster cable" hype.
While I was still actively playing, my experience with them was pretty darn bad. They might have improved in the last decade or so but I doubt it for some reason...in those dim dead days, Sidewinder was my weapon of choice...
As for audio...heck no. I still have a set of no-name British silver cables that I picked up at a store liquidation sale in Brooklyn for pennies at the beginning of this millennium, and they're still working flawlessly. Clean, crisp and had survived three moves. Good enough for me.
But I've been told before that my knowledge on purity of electrons is insufficient, so...

Yes, the purity of electron thing is quite important... but I think that it important to the humor factor more than anything eles. I guess Teletypes are not that concerned with purity of electrons, cause I use plain old copper wire for my current loops! Joe

LOL, the reviews on that Wattgate link are hilarious. I would recommend "Plantar Warts" and "Cleaner Easier Starts". Classic Troll!

Back in the 1980's I bought so many gas saver devices for my car, I had to stop every 100 miles and drain the tank! What a pain!

I liked the clip-on magnets they used to sell for gas lines as fuel savers. It aligned the atoms in the gas so you get cleaner burning starts! LOL!
Probably the same people bought those that buy the Wattgate recepticle.
