So today I became the proud owner of this box, sans documentation. It powers up and the HD whirs and it needs a new set of batteries.

Anybody have a cheat sheet or a full manual? This was an offer I couldn't refuse and I would love to get it working. I can find an end user guide, but I'm having a difficult time wading through the search engine results.

Carl,

It programs like an elitemail, hook up on the serial port and go in under Co-Sessions. It think it's 19200 but it might be 9600.

Also, there's a set of lights that count up in binary -- there should be pictures that match the lights silk-screened on the case, so you can see if it booted all the way, and if not, what it means where it froze.

When it's fully booted, it will go "Dee-dee-da-DEET!" over and over to tell you that the batteries are low. I had one that did that even with fresh batteries. If the batteries are bad and it's powered down, you'll lose the main greeting, but mailboxes etc., should be okay.

Fun little VM to play with. Enjoy!

Sigh, so now I'm back begging a copy of CoSessions software. I'll spring the $107 if I sell the box, but for now, all I want to do is see if it works.

Yep, I got all of that, including the "you don't have any batteries" beep. It sequenced all the lights in order as the HD was making noises. If I can make it behave on a Partner ACS, I've got it sold. It was either that or my "Brick Mail".

You should be able to plug it in to ports on the ACS, which should recognize the Lingo ports as Analog Devices. I did this with an R 3.0 and a Lingo that I made from a Panavoice.

You can also log in through a telephone as TECH or as ADMIN -- in fact, if you log in as TECH it will tell you the ADMIN password.

The limit is, I believe, 50 mailboxes, so it would be a great combo for an ACS. I've also seen them on Legends.

The company i worked for before i went on my own installed dozens of Lingos on ACS systems ... they work very well.

If i remember correctly it worked better of you use the code for the Partner 2 .... integration code 1020.... but doublecheck that.. it's been over 10 years!
