Hello,
I am not knew to cabling, but would like to know what will work better and be more professional. This is a simple t1 demarc 48x smart jack in telco room to the IT room. I will extend about 120ft. I already know that I am going to use Quabbin part 9719 cable.
My real issue is whether to go from jack to jack or just terminate both ends with modular plugs that have a load bar which also are designed for shielded cable.
i normally am comfortable using jack to jack terminations with cat 5e. I feel it gives the EU more options.
Is there a better cable for this as well? This cable is going to cost me around $330/1000.
You suggestion will be greatly appreciated.
Best regard,
Ozzy

I would use jacks/biscuits with an RJ48X at the last jack before it goes into the CPE. The design of the RJ48X is to determine if the problem is inside wiring from the smartjack to the CPE (well now it is).
