Hello all, I am fairly new to the telcom side of things as my background is computer networking. I have started installing VOIP phone systems (Interactive Intelligence) and have an issue with our system. Ok we are trying to go live with our I3 system CIC 3.0 SU4 and an Audiocodes Mediant 1000. Our carrier is Time Warner. When we tried to go live the other day we could recieve incoming calls just fine. However we could not make outbound calls. I verified the dial plan was correct and that the call was hitting the mediant with I3 support. So I got TW involved and they told me they were rejecting the calls because we are not sending/using q.931 ISDN numbering plan. I have researched this and only found information on q.931 protocol which is not what TW was refering to. So does anyone know how to configure q.931 ISDN numbering plan on an Audiocodes Mediant 1000? The error in the IC client is: Disconnected [No Circuit Available:Request Facility Not Subscribed (ISDN Cause Code 50)/503:SIP - Service Unavailable] Our current NEC system does have this ISDN numbering plan but I can't find it in the Audiocodes.

This usually means you have requested use of capabilities that you are not authorized to use.
Check your PRI configuration for 'switch-type' or numbering plan, and make sure those are set correctly.
let us know what happens then.

It is possible -- I've just had this problem with a PRI to Airespring -- that what they guy *really* meant is "you aren't sending valid CNID -- something with a number we assigned you"; this is commonly caused by not setting a CNID at all, which causes some gear (like my Asterisk boxen) to send 0000000000...
which causes telcos to feel maladjusted.
You're correct; q.931 is the ISDN/ISUP protocol. The numbering plan stuff is in e.164.

You could also not be dialing in a format they want. Some expect 10-digit dialing, some +1... Some will allow 7-digit local dialing... Best to see what you are sending your audiocodes and ask them what they are expecting.
