* FORMAT 1 - CLFI Codes for Cable Facilities (pretty much obsolete now)
* FORMAT 2 - CLFI Code for a Pair Within a Cable Facility (pretty much obsolete now)
* FORMAT 3 - CLFI Code for a Carrier Facility
FAC DES / FAC TYPE / TERM A / TERM Z
* FORMAT 4 - CLFI Code for a Channel in a Carrier Facility
FAC DES / FAC TYPE / CHAN / TERM A / TERM Z
- Fac DES = Facility designation. (i.e. the carriers name) Mix of alpha numeric that give it a unique name
- FAC Type = The rate (T1, T3, OC-3 etc) and frame and coding of the carrier.
- Chan (Format 4) = A way to notate a subtending channel of said carrier.
- Term A = The CLLI (common language location identifier) of one end of the carrier circuit.
- Term Z = The CLLI of other end of the carrier circuit.
(note for both term A & Z... Once upon a time these CLLI's were arranged in order of importance so to speak... Currently they’re arranged in alphabetical order.) Since the ones posted by you Bob early on have too much info X-ed out, I'll show a couple examples and then translate.

101 = the name, "the 101 T1 carrier."
T1ZF = DS1 rate, with B8ZS & super-frame.
intentionally omitting the channel to show a format 3 STLSMO11 = STLS (saint Louis) MO (Missouri) 11 (central office # 11)
STLSMO11 = STLS (saint Louis) MO (Missouri) 11 (central office # 11) K04 (a 1/0 DCS name)

A607 = A carrier named "A607"
T3Z = DS3 rate carrier with B8ZS capabilities
28 = the 28th channel (format 4)
