I have a 4 cabinet XTS with 2 PRI cards in Slot 05 and 06 with the all of the necessary connectors between the PRI's. In order to cut back on the telecom expense, the 1st PRI was disconnected and the lines taken out of service but the card was never removed. I am now seeing an extremely high count of SLIP Alarms. My logic is to remove the 1st PRI Card and make the programming changes to completely take it out of the system. I just wanted to get a second opinion.

The system was receiving timing (clock) from the first PRI circuit. Without this, the system doesn't stay in sync with the central office. You'll need to enable the clock on the second PRI card, then reboot the system in order to resolve this.

No need to start another topic. You asked the same question here and got the same answer. Let's keep it all in one topic. If you need clarification just ask in the original topic. Thanks.
