Is anyone familiar with configuring this thing? I am in the boonies with the only option of broadband is ISDN or Sat. Sat is def out of the question.
I have been running a cisco 804 for years but decided to get another BRI installed for a 256k link. I bought a lucent superpipe 155 just because it had 2 BRI/U interfaces and also 2 POTS ports. POTS being the important part. I still need to receive calls.
After days of messing with it I finally got it to dial the isp but it will not route. If I update it to the latest software release which is 8 yrs old btw it will not even dial. Does anyone remember how to set this thing up?
Or here is option 2. I bought a 4 port BRI module for a cisco 2600xm and am currently running it. I am more of a cisco person so I had it up and running in minutes. Still need a telephone though. Is there a wic card for a cisco that will give me a analog voice port? In other words that will make it function like an 804? Drop a channel so I can talk on my main line?
I know this is a split telephone/networking question so I am not sure where to post. So I am trying here first.
Thanks for your help!

I'm not sure how many people are familiar with the equipment. I don't think that I've ever seen it myself.

I've setup many 3com ISDN modem/routers and but they had a built in GUI. The 155 required separate GUI software or you could use command line and you had know the structure.

Yep. I have tried the Gui software that came with it. I had to load up a 98 virtual machine to get it to work because it requires the old microsoft java virtual machine to run lol. Very limited software. But it had a wizard to enter net, spids, name, pass, and isp number. It would dial at this point as well but would not route packets. It could not ping anything on the internet even from the router console itself. Dunno, It could just be a flakey ebay router.
I have resigned to forwarding my main number to a magic jack and running the cisco 2600. Cisco's are much easier to configure.
Thanks again,
