Curious if anybody has used the Phybridge UniPhyer network switch? It basically provides 10/100 POE up to 1,200 feet over a single pair of wire. There are adapters at each end of course. Just looking for some feedback. I have a site that this may be perfect for. Sure would save a lot of time and money not having to run all new data cables...

I believe William Tel has used that product up here in Canada with good results.

clgjr,
We demo'ed one of phybridge's products and it worked like a charm. You can sign up with them and take a basic online training course and get a demo that they ship to you for a few days to play with and then have to ship it back. We had IP phones and camera's running off of it.

Sure wish I could have invented this equipment 10 years ago. I have always thought someday it would be possible to run 10/100 ethernet over one pair of telco. I guess neccesity is the mother of invention. Definitely looking into getting my hands on one! Thanks for the responses..... Jr

CL, I have not used it but know many that have and swear by it. It's not cheap though.

If you don't need integrated PoE, look up VDSL. It goes a long way at about 10 megs. We use Planet devices.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
