Guy needs about 8 cordless phones in his house and because of the way the panasonic KXTDA-50 has all the navigation I am 99% sure it is going to drive him, his wife and the young kids crazy.
Answer line one, put it on hold, answer line two, go back to line one, the door is ringing, well they would go nuts with the navigation.
The house is all wired for jacks, but they have made the "living areas" into the centers of the rooms and don't want cords trailing from the outside walls (bare floors - not rugs) into the centers of the rooms.
If I did a Toshiba, I'd have a goodly size box to hide and for the good cordless, very expensive cordless units and he wants eight of them. Having a button for intercom, line one, line two, etc. would be perfect.
He needs two lines and a door box and would like 3 multibutton corded phones with 8 cordless phones.
The 45P X-Blue system would have worked, but they stopped making the cordless phones, too many problems.
I would appreciate any good recommendations you have, Thanks, Bracha

By default, the Pana cordless has 4 soft keys for L1, L2 and intercom. It will let you criss-cross 8 phones in the grid, but since only two users can get on a cell, you'd need at least 2 cells. Are you suggesting that the guy has 6 kids?
I'm not sure if you can register 8 handsets in an Durafon IV, but I'm thinking that it will have similar problems to the Panasonic solution.
You might check out the 7783Q Pana cordless system, or the SIP solution. The problem with the 7783Q is that it might be vaporware or obsolete right after you get one. I'm still not sold on the SIP products.

I'd look at the Durafon IV as well but cost will also be high range but worth it. There are newer Panasonic cordless that use Bluetooth technology that allow the cordless to connect with owners cell sets you might look into as a option.

I've used the AT&T SB67138 which can have up to ten cordless handsets/cordless desk phones in addition to the base unit. That's a total of eleven terminals to talk on... The system can also have up to six repeaters to extend coverage range if necessary. The phones have individual buttons for L1, L2, L3, and L4. Just thought I'd mention it...

The kx-wt125 Panasonic phones that work with the tda50 are simpler than the other cordless phones panasonic has. They are real inexpensive for a pbx cordless. This phone has two one touch soft-keys to access line 1 & 2, cuts down on the navigating. If he didn't want desk phones, I'd say go with Panasonic or at&t 4-line cordless phones, but I think you can only have 1 desk phone with that "system".

The AT&T 4 line cordless has the main base control unit which is a big desk phone with two antennas..antenni...anyway...after that you can add up to ten cordless phones or cordless desk phones or any combination thereof up to ten. The cordless desk phone looks like a desk phone...strange to say that...except it does not have a phone line cord. It does have a power cord to charge the battery so...I guess it's not really cordless...hmmm... :-)
