I have an older system for a home office, dropped a 7700-s and need to replace it. Is it time to replace or upgrade the software, are there newer features that one should have( caller ID ) ? Thanks

It all depends on what VER. you are running.
You can get an upgrade but if its for your house any new features probably won't help you.
You can get a phone for the one that you dropped by clicking the Sundance logo above and go to Comdial
Hope this helps.

Depending on what system you have, there will be a white tag on the right side of the KSU telling you what system you have or if it's a digital it will have a software cartrige in the slot at the very top left side of the KSU

GO 408 is an Impression key unit, 4 lines , 8 stations.
Revision 18A ( for CID)or later will require that the GO 408 is a Rev. E or higher.

No, I was referring to the Caller ID. Your KSU needs to be that rev. and the software needs to be that revesion or higher, just so you can run caller ID. On the phones, you will still use the 7000 series phones, there's also the 2000 series phones that are used on that system but there may be a software issue on that, I personally don't know and the books I have don't show it anywhere, hopefully somebody else will pop in on that one. sorry I can only give ya one out a two. I'll make a call and see what I can find out about that and post my findings here.
