I am looking to upgrade our 6706X Comdial Executech sets with 6614-E sets. Can this be done with our existing "brains" which are accommodating the 6706X or do we need to upgrade the "brains"?
I am hoping we can just plug in new sets.

You can use any the 6600 series on that system, but you'll need to reprogram the ports where your replacing them. But yes they will work, no upgrade necessary.
