Can anyone tell me what is going on the Comdial? I heard they moved from Virginia, others have told me they have merged, others said they are closing. What is the real story with this manufacture? What products are being made, and is it still in the USA? Brian in Idaho Thanks.

Comdial is alive and rebounding in Florida. The small system DX80 is now made offshore and is similar to a Vodavi - it works good, I like it and have sold several. I think they are concentrating on thier computer based telophony products, voicemail and FX line of products. check out comdial.com for more information.

markk is right. Comdial is still around. The great tech stock bust did take its toll on Comdial too, as it did the others. They brought in a new CEO and he sliced and diced. The DX-80 was the first offshore item and the "Made in the USA" logo disappeared when we needed it most. It did generate mucho revenue. Executech, DSU, DSUII, DXP, DXP Plus, FXT/S were all EOL as were all gray telephones (?) and several SCS models. They bought Key Voice before the bust and operations moved to the sunshine state. I cut my teeth on Stromberg-Carlson telephone equipment 30 plus years ago so I "may" have some bias towards Comdial. They are aggresive in new market apps such as IP and UM and this old switch man just has to adapt.
