Hello, I'm new to this board and Comdial switches. I have worked with a Fujitsu 9600 switch for four years in my last postion as Network Admin. I've changed jobs and my new company has a COmdial DXP switch with Key Voice 8.2 Vmail. I've downloaded the keyvoice manual and have been working on tweaking the mailboxes and have created some new routing boxes. There are a few basic, nothing fancy, things I'd like to do on the switch. However I'm having a heck of a time find a db9 to rj-11 adapter. Does anyone have a spare I could purchase? Please don't tell me how simple it is to make my own. I have tried that and I and crimped challenged :-) I'm looking to end my frustration and take the whimps way out. If you don't want to sell one maybe we could trade. I have a lot of computer and network gear to offer. My main skills are in Networking and server admin. I would gladly help you out with whatever I can. Thanks! [email protected]

I don't think Radio Shack carries them any more, at least that's what the local stores told me. I haven't seen them there for quite some time now that's why I went searching the internet.

DTMF:
I tried the website you linked to but didn't see any db9f to rj-11 connectors. I saw the db25 to rj-11 but that was all. Am I missing something on the site. Can you please review the site and tell me where exactly the 9 pin connectors are. If they have been removed from the website would you sell me one of yours?
Jwooten:
When I visited RS I was told the same thing as dtmf, they no longer carry them. I did visit the website link but found their solutions to be much more than I need. I'm just a newbie looking for a $20 connector :-)

They make a db9 to RJ25 and a db9 to RJ45 The db9 to RJ 25 should work for you.
here is the link. https://www.telephoneparts.com/index.cgi?product=Data|Adapter+-+D-Sub+to+Modular&pictures=on&cart_id=6210305

Thanks for clarifying. I did not know that I could use an RJ 25 connector. I guess they must be similiar in size. I'm not familar with a rj 25 connector. I limited my search to rj 11.
I'll place the order tonight. Is ther anything else I need to purchaselike a crimper or are they snap assembly? I'm hoping they are snap type as I mentioned before, I am crimp challenged.

The RJ25 and 11 are the same end.RJ25 has three pair and the 11 has two pair. They just snap in to the DB9 then the RJ locks together when you have made all your connections. (no tools needed)

Z No, these come in two pieces so you can wire them any way you want.
