Something strange has starting happening with our iNTerchange box. VM messages are not saving on the server right. When you logon to a voice mail box the message appears to be blank with the time and date of the message, if you save the message as new the server records a similar error in the error log:

9309 9309, M\MG000000107.004, 107, 4

Stopping and starting the services do not seem to help...rebooting the machine does though. When the machine restarts and the user logs on to the VM box the entire message is there and can be listened to.

This seems to happen every couple of days.

Any idea what is causing this problem???

Thanks!

We have seen this before when the harddrive needs defragging. DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT use the defrag that comes with windows NT or win2000, it will make the problem worse. You need to use Disk Keeper on this system. I think Comdial provided disk keeper for a while, but don't hold me to that. You can by it anywhere.

I agree, your drive needs to be defragged, https://www.fourthnet.com has Disk Keeper software and great support.

Thanks for the info. Just installed Disk Keeper. Don't know why I didn't think of that...we use Disk Keeper on other file servers.

Thanks, hopefully that will take care of the problem!!!!

My two systems are running Diskkeeper with "Set it & Forget it" enabled from 6:00pm to 7:00am every day. The problem still seems to reoccur. Two elements that seem to be involved: 1- I stopped having the email feature send or forward messages; 2- I shut off RDP remote. I did one-at-a-time and then introduced each back in alternately. The results were that the problem resurfaced in both environments. Howeva' with my impatience and other service calls my test data may be faulty.
