Systems don't get easier to install than these. Their esi-access software for programming is very straightforward, tabs for the different functions. The AA is gui'd in a tree format that simply can't get much easier to see what is going on.
Hardware is a snap, the architecture is pretty simple and only a few set models to choose from.
Operation for use is very simple; with the caller ID enabled one-touch will enter CID info into the speed-dial, you can also hit redial from a voice mail to return the call. The quality and feel of the phones is excellent, although, time will tell....... I get the 5-year warranty on everything I get from them at least until I have some long-term history with them.
The biggest hurdle is name recognition.

Great lttle system. VERY EASY. But.........
We dropped them about a year ago. There were too many problems from small to major that they wouldn't address. Also for a while they seemed to be releasing a new version or patch every month. When it works it works great, but it was prone to being a little too unstable for what we wanted to provide. They had good tech support but usually a lot off "on hold time", loved how I have Stephen King Books larger than a system and Voicemail! Makes the trip from the truck easy.

Well here's the way I see it. They put out a system with software .01 and field test it in the market place. .01 has a bug that causes something goofy so they fix it with .02 which has some other glitch. and so it goes to about .99 when they fix almost all the bugs then they put out a new system with .01 software. When they work, they work great and I used the old classic here in my office for 5 years, living with a few glitches. When the customer wants to do something that encounters a bug, it can be very time consuming and annoying. I have lots more I could say about ESI but not on the open forum. You may ping me directly if you care to hear my rant. mark

I have been an ESI dealer for almost 2 years now and have been very happy with both the equipment and the tech support. I used to be an avaya dealer and consider my move to ESI to have been a major positive

Bill did you ever come across a problem with the ESI S-Class such as this: an incoming call goes to the receptionist then she transfers the call out to a cell and the original caller says they cannot "Hear". I'm thinking its an internal problem with the KSU since its a Trunk to Trunk transfer but what do you think??? <font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">Originally posted by BillFlippen: Great lttle system. A trk to trk transfer is esentially a conf call. If the trouble is low volume try to change the C.O. line level. Just a thought........

The CO Line Level has been maxed out but I thought there might be something that someone else has come across to fix it. I even went as far as to take the copper lines out and change them over to a channelized T-1 <font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">Originally posted by SST: A trk to trk transfer is esentially a conf call.
