Is there a reason why Keyvoice version 8.2 corporate version will go into demo version instead of the regular mode. This all use to work and now it no longer works, in only goes into demo version, with one line and 20 active mailbox.
If anyone knows of an answer I would appreicate it. thx

Make sure that the key or dongle on the parallel port is properly seated.

If the dongle seems to be good then there is probably a problem with the vm card. You should cheek to see if it is seated properly or if that doesn't work try switching isa slots to see if it's a computer problem. The form topic on ivpc board also has some real good ideas on trouble shooting.

Further info. did try what you suggested about moving to another isa slot even moved the hard drive and the dialogic board to another machine same result. In doing so reliazed something new. if the software key is removed the impact concierge software they have comes up in demo mode with a warning message box stating that the security key is missing.
My question is it possilbe that the key is a dual key. Works with keyvoice and impact conceirge system (hotel check-in system).

You said the magic word! Concierge! There are three files that the key looks for when used in a hotel application. switches.txt, numlines.txt and one more that I will have to look up. You should have an 8x10 piece of paper with the three files and numbers that need to be in the files for this to work. this paper should be with the documentation. There is also a lot of special set-up for this system as it has to clear all messages for a room when a new guest checks in.

This "8x10 piece of paper with the three files and numbers" is this files for the concierge system to work or the keyvoice system. We do not seem to have the 8x10 piece of paper. It would be helpful if you can tell me the third file.

There are two other possible files that VM needs obxlink.txt and logins.txt with a concierge installation I think the pbxlink is fairly important.

I found the following txt files, numlines.txt, switches.txt and pbxlinks.txt containing serial numbers.
Did not find obxlink.txt and logins.txt files, on the entire system, excatly what those the file contain.
