I am not very familiar with the Comdial line, I have a customer that has a phone that automatically dials #'s that have been dialed from that phone. She doesn't have any speed dials set up so I am not sure what the problem could be.

Check your programming for auto callback or redial. Allow or deny.

Also check make sure your data pairs(orange-white, white-orange usually) are reversed on one end of the station cable.

If it's not a digital system, it's the data pairs like Mr. taylor says. Very common.

The analog KSU manuals describe in detail about "Paired Port Overload Protection." Because of this power pairing , a problem with station 10 may actually manifest in station 11 - keeping this in mind when you are troubleshooting. The digital KSU manuals only refer to "Logic Ports" but are still paired ports and develope the same symptoms. Usually this autodialing problem described by RobertTBS is created by a short in the wiring and most often the line cord being pinched by excessive weight on it (file cabinet weighing 600 lbs)or has been walked on too many times, and on occasion a phone that has become defective for whatever reason. Best one I ever come across was the nice clear chair pad for carpet that has a zillion pointed points that were penetrating the line cord placed under it. This line cord had actual melt spots. Needless to say this customer couldn't understand why he was having to pay a service call and for a new line cord because it was under the carpet pad !! Silently (on one of my rare occassions) I added a double dip for the aggrevation fee. On the DSU (black cabinet) most often one or the other paired ports programming will become defaulted and require troubleshooting and re-programming. Bottom line is the problem needs to be located.
