Okay, we're getting ready to deploy another MP5000 with EP300's and EP200's. I'm looking to see if it is for sure possible to do it VPN-less, using "SIP-Aware/Compliant" routers. I think the site is looking at Sonicwall routers that do VPN, and they say are also SIP-Compliant. I'd prefer to try it without the VPN, but interested to hear others' feedback.

I know everyone is talking about Comdial (I'm certified with them too) however, I'm Panasonic certified as well and have been for almost five years. Here's my point, I was trying to get around vpn tunneling and did on the remote end by turning on the log in the router and watched the ports that were accessed in said log. Just an idea, and I be checking back regualarly, as well as testing EP200's and EP300's now.

Based on previous discussions, I get the impression that the router logs don't tell the whole story. Maybe sniffing the network would provide more detail? I say that like I've done it before. I haven't yet, but might have the opportunity/requirement soon enough.
