How do I connect a PA paging system to my Comdial Impact PBX? Isn't there a PA paging port on the PBX?

The PA system is a 4-wire system. Two wires are for voice. The other two wires are for keying the PA.

Is it a DXP with impact phones or a DSU?

The DXP you should call in a Certified Tech. The DSU has an RCA Female plug on the side for page output.

I hope I am not on someones private BB or interferring with anyone's work. Just need a little help once in a while.

The PBX this ship has is a Comdial Impact DXP. I am not familiar with Comdial because my ship carries the Mitel SX200.

I hooked up a Viking PI-1 telecom/paging interface to an unused trunk line. It may not be the best way to hook this up, but it works. It seems to be working OK.

You can get the manual for the DXP from this site. That manual will show you were to wire any external connections.
