OK, here we go.
New FXII 96 out of the box.
CPU - EX and SRV EX
will not allow me to load 17E on it.
I could log in at first, then put key in, and sometimes would get about 2% of the progresss line then it would error out and say VMMI encountered an error. This locked up the system and my serial port.
Tried a spare CPU-EX I had from another package that went out with a CPU-2 and a spare SRV2-II board.
Same problem. This is the first time I tried to load the spare board.
I could get in fine through Hyperterminal.
My laptop is ok, I use it for DX-80's fine. I also program my car with it at 115k baud. Just for kicks, I tried a hard serial port on my desktop pc. Same results.
Any one have any ideas what is going on?
I am trying to use 17E and have two 17E keys for each of my CPU-EX's
Comdial has not been much help on this. I sent them my 1st set and they said it failed 1st time, but loaded 2nd so they sent it back. IT does have 17E on it and I can log into it, but when I try to make any changes and APPLY, it locks up and says VMMI could not apply the changes?
The 2nd board, they said loaded fine, but when it came back to me, it was blank without software or anything?

Does the error say "VMMI has encountered an error"? The only time I have seen this is when someone tried to install MP5000 software bin into an FXII.

Yes, that's what it was saying.
I was using the correct bin file or so Comdial said.
they put 17E on it. I have never used 17E on a FXII yet. Now, I can log into the one board, but can't make any changes? Says VMMI could not apply changes and kicks out.?

Go to Hyperterm. 19,200.n,8,1 Hit the enter key. Get your banner screen? Yes link is good no link is bad Download the bin file from the CCC again if the link is good. It sounds like a corrupted bin file if you are sure it's 196\197. ------------------ Business Phone Systems
