Did you try what OhioTelecom said to try? And did you notice what was said about the dip switches being mislabeled?

I did check the DIP switches. I also tried to connect the serial link to my laptop, but I did not receive anything. My concern with this is if the pinouts are different then what would be used for the cable to program the switch.

If you have a pinned out DB-9 connector and you use this connector with line cord to access system program then it's pinned correctly. Let's try and solve the first problem: Are you getting SMDR?

I'm also wondering whether you have caller ID enabled on your C.O. ports, both from the phone company and enabled in the system.

I see that you said you did. Can you go back and verify? At least in the system?

If you have a cordless phone or something with CID capability, can you connect it ahead of the system to verify you are receiving CID from the phone company?

Also, you said you had SMDR on. Did you try turning it off? I don't remember, off hand, which com port is used for what (they are each designated to be used for specific things, though), but maybe the smdr being on is causing a conflict.

I just looked it up and confirmed that com 2 is correct, but couldn't find what the other ports are specified to be used for. I can't remember where SMDR is supposed to be, or is that specific item programmable?

SMDR and Caller ID share the same port. It one of those bizarre designs.
