I looked through the forum and seen where some one was having problems with the one of there lines doing this and was trying to stop it I want backwards and went to my laptop and set the ringing assingnment to to have line 5 goto ext 21 but didn't work. Was wanting more Ideals. Also I have one phone that has the Message light on all them time. I tried mirroring that line but didn't help I also tried another phone and The light came on that phone also.

Intercom,#3,ext number will turn the light off. Personally I think it is easier to program via phone. so program mode, (normally I remove all ringing from phone first, then go back and set ringing for only the lines they want to ring) 54>1>#>EXT. number>*** 54>1>Lines to ring>#>Ext. number>* * *

when you say Vmail, you mean Auto attendant or to ext 21 vmail? fairly certain that call forwarding would not follow a CO line ringing in on that Ext. So I would ensure you dont have line 5 ringing to whatever your Vmail ext. number is. You can set it up for a delay if you so desire. Also ensure the ringer is not turned off on Ext. 21. that will give you the brief ring that you may be hearing.

It comes up and goes to the auto attendent. The volume is turned up I already went thought that one. How do I go about putting in the delay or just make it so it rings with out going into the voice mail.

ringing for Vmail is the same steps as for Ext. 21 delay is 54>2>Lines>#>Ext. Number>*** set specified length of delay is 17>05>1-0>** 1=6 seconds 2=12 seconds 3=18 seconds so and so on up to 60 seconds.

Still didn't work. I set it at 30 sec and still when I call line 5 it gose directly into the auto attendent The ext for line 5 rings briefly but you must be very quick to pick up the line before it gose to the auto attendent. Wanted to say thanks for all your help.

It sounds like 1 of your voicemail ports is set to ring on that particular line, print selected stations on your laptop to see if any of your voicemail extensions are set to ring on that line... Good Luck

remove all ringing from the voicemail ports. then go back and add ONLY the lines you want to ring immed. using 54>1 then on the lines you want to ring on a delay use 54>2
30 seconds is a long time, not sure of anyone that would stay on the line for that many rings, I would go with 18 at the most.
