Help! Working on an Interchange 12.0 installation behing an FXS 17D. When a user dials his DID number and rings into his mailbox, hits # for remote access, we get a disconnect. Trace shows the # followed by a 1 (dialtone). Any Ideas? If I call into the live attendant and hit # the calls stays connected so it seems to me that problem can't be the CO.

one way to test would be to see if it occurs on a live call. If you disconnect by dialing a "#" with a live body then it would more than likely be the carrier.

See above. I already tried your trick. Still haven't found the problem. Comdial tech told me to delete and reinstall all 242 mailboxes. Finally got done with that but still no success!

DID is comming in on PRI. Comdial helped me work through the problem and we thought we had it resolved by defaulting the vm ports, till last night. Problem came back so back I go today! I'm starting to wonder if I don't have a corrupted database from the upgrade process 15b-17d.

Tony did you do a step by step upgrade translation? In other words, did you translate 15B to 15C to 16A to 17A to 17B to 17C to 17D? If not you may encounter corruption. But that doesn't seem to be the case. If you don't have "9992" in the # box of every routing box you are not getting in. The pound key is the VM's main navigation key. Sounds like also you have all routing boxes set to "hangup" if no digit dialed. Change that to "Return" Also have "9998" in the * box for directory access.

No did not do a step by step upgrade. Rebuilt the software by taking my original 15B backup, retranslated to 17D, defaulted vm ports and VM, rebuilt vm COS and everythings seems to be OK since. Seems that software corruption was the problem. Thanks for you help everyone!
