I'm trying to get into the F39 DX-80 in my shop --remotely with WinPCDBA. I can get into it direct. I have tried several computers--the one that has had the most luck is running Windows XP--I get a decent handshake now--most of the time---but when I try to RECEIVE--I get a Windows error message--"Microsft Visual C++ Runtime Library: Runtime error program C:\program files\comdial\dx-80\dx80pcdba.exe The application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact application support team for more information."
I've googled this and got instructions to change mscongig.exe---which I did quite a few different ways & times---but when I try the WinPCDBA --results are still the same runtime error message. Any ideas??

42 is also compatible. It will work on 39, 40, and 42.
