i have a comdial phone system with a Small Office Lite V 8.5 voice system. the comdail system is i belive a grey tanish box.. so i am assuming its a Comdail Impact or DSU. now this is the propblem. one day we came in and the system was running on night service mode becuase the time was set to PM not AM. now we changed the time to the proper time and the system after one min will change the time back 12hr automatically. even if we change the BIOS time. also when the system changes time it also changes the BIOS time. now what is causing this and what can i do to fix this problem?

Are you changing the time on the voice mail and on the system or just on the voicemail? The two units talk to each other to keep in sync. Go in and change whichever one you did not change least time

Also, a low CMOS battery on the motherboard of the VM can cause screwey things to happen to the time and date, even if the system is not powered off or rebooted (but I believe keyvoice does a weekly reboot). It's probably a Sony crc 3.3 volt cell.

The voicemail gets it's time from the DSU. You need to change the DSU time if you have a serial link.
