Having problems setting up my comdial dxp plus to auto answer. I want my key voice mailbox system to answer without having to ring. Straight into voice mail.

enter your mailbox from the main menu press 3 for options then 4 to change your call transfer feature, press star to turn it off and calls will go directly to your mailbox.

Sorry, but was not clear. I wanted the dpx system to pass all incomming calls, on all 8 CO-lines the voice mail, main greeting, preferably after 0 or 1 ring. The system is being used by a hotel system, they want all calls to be routed to the voice mail system after 1 ring, during night calls.

Any trained tech can do this for you. It's just a matter of programming the night ring to the voicemail ports, and setting a day/night button at the main extension.
This is tech level programming, if your trying to do this yourself without technical training on this product, you will need to buy the manuals and start reading. There is too much to know to teach you here.

Have done that, night ringing is alread set and working, but it continues to default to 4 rings before transfering to voice mail. Is it possible to change the ring value RNA before transfering to voice mail.

If you have the night ring properly programmed and activated, the auto-attendant will answer on the first ring when in night mode.
Make sure the "rings to Answer" setting in the VM is set to 1 also.
Did you ever make changes to the trans.txt files?
