I connected a fax to the fourth port in a dx80, and I setup fax detection on analog ext 150. At first it worked great, but now it seems you need to hit 9 before you can get out. Even then it doesn't seem to work properly. I was wondering is there a way to setup auto line selection on a single line phone or if there is something else I am missing. I have done this before with no trouble.

I'll take care of the double post. The user guide doesn't list a feature code for auto line selection. I think you might have to dial 9 or the line directory number if you want a specific line.

If you have F32 or newer software the procedure is; From your fax, go off. dial #951 plus 743 (743=fax line port) confirmation tone hang up Your fax will now pull dial tone fax line only.

Hey J, where did you find that, I need a copy of that list if you have one, or what's it called on the ccc site? <ark

Mark, the procedure is in the analog station user guide. These guides were updated several years ago to reflect more features. There two versions on the ccc. The newer version cannot be opened, at least I have never been able to open it. You can prime line the older software versions but you must program a speed bin for it to work. Let me know if you need a copy.

You can also use #951 plus any valid C.O Group Directory number. #950 gets you back to auto ICM selection.

Just be aware of the following:
If you ever have to backup, cold start, and reload your database, I have found that auto line selection does not get restored, and will have to be reprogrammed on any set that was using it. I particularly found this to be the case on analog stations, but assume the same would be true on digital.
