I have a customer with a 1632 dsu, not sure of the version. He had a voicemail system on it with ATI-D's until it crashed and burned. I need to know the codes that the Comdial sends when turning on message lights, and transferring from a no answer condition to the users greeting. Anybody help? Thanks

What kind of voicemail are you using? From the intercom line, a DSU needs a *3 + Station #. So to turn it on for station 10 the voicemail would dial *310. A #3 + Station # is used to turn them off. As for the no-answer condition (I assume you mean after a transfer to a station which does not answer) you can hunt-link the station number to the first port of the voicemail; but that will take you to the auto-attendant and not that user's greeting. I would program a button to directly access the mailbox (can press such a button and hang-up, caller will go directly to that box. ITCM * * 1 [Desired Button], 6 [First VM ext. #], [Mailbox number], 2. (assuming you use keyvoice) This button can be used to directly access a box and listening to messages etc, but also to transfer outside calls directly into the box. One more thing, if you're manually entering integration information (like message waiting codes) more problems lie ahead than just message waiting codes. Call a tech if you get lost.

When you hunt link a station to the Vmail, it will send a 2 after the ext#. so ext 12 would be 122, depending on VMail, you setup it up so that any XX2 would transfer to vmail. If you do not hunt link the a station to Vmail, you would get a busy rather than a code the vmail could use.
