Any opinions about a company called Vonage "The Broadband phone company" Any restrictions as to what type telephone equipment will work with it or do they all work. Or do you have to have a certain type. What happens when you dial 911. Thanks

I've had a vonage line for about 1 year.

The ATA converts the line to POTS so there are no issues with using any system.

The only issue I had was the original
ATA sucked. I would get busy signals and call drops all the time. They sent me new one and It's been fine. I still get a fasle busy every once in a while ( bottle neck at their break out point to POTS)

I forgot how 911 works exactly, but you have to sign up. I would NOT under any circumstances suggest that you use it exclusively, but if you had a mix of copper and vonage it could save you money.
