FXT 15C w/ 8.5 Keyvoice. FXT1-24 with 8 active channels.
Replaced the voicemail about 6 months ago after the original died. No problems on it or the system after until about a week ago.
Now, about once a week, all lines go out (no dial tone, no incoming calls, busy signal given). The receptionist then picks up line 1 (no dialtone) and hangs up. Line 1 now works and calls can come in. This happens on all lines.
Other wierdness, 1 extension when transfer to her and forwarded to vmail when she doesn't answer, will randomly get routed to the operator mailbox rather than her personal. This does not happen all the time, or with any other extension.
The line issues point me towards the t1 card, but no tsure on the voicemail issue. I have checked all the mbox options and they look fine. Have also deleted and readded the mbox. Also ran scandb from DOS.
Any other ideas on this one? Thanks. It may be time to upgrade them to the MP5000.

Is the system resetting? Recently had a similar issue with an fx2 in a very busy Dr office. 1 LSboard, 3digital and 1analog. System would lock up. It ended up being a digital station board and it took ten minutes to fail. When the system reset all was good and it reset on its own!

no, not resetting. Though if I do a software reset through VMMI it returns to normal for a couple of days.
This one has (1) FXT1-24, (1)LSD (1)IST

Just a shot in the dark...Did you previously have the IMOK hack implemented, and with the reinstall it didn't get reimplemented? That's in regards to the voicemail routing problem.
In regards to the "lines going down" issue, have you checked the logs on the FXT? Do you have any alarms being logged on the T1 or system?

Not sure how to see the logs in the system itself However, there are no error lights on the board, nor is it losing synch. now it has happened 3 times today. I have also called the carrier and they show no problems. When this happens it disconnects the calls as well if there are any in progress.

Hyper term session. Printouts, system, status logs. I'd buuton map all lines ona phone at the reception desk and look for all red LEDs when the problem happens and compare that to the status logs.

Yeah, we have the recept phone with all lines. They do not go all red. Just get no dial tone/busy until one is picked up and they hang up. Then it is fine again.
Will be on-site tomorow and will printout the logs. Figured I'd upgrade them to an MP5 but Comdial has no idea when the next training is but they want me to buy the demo ASAP. Yeah right, not until I know a training date.

ok.....nothing on status logs. Either T1 or system that corresponds to the failures. Not even on the same day.
Also notice that one line is giving dial-tone, but when you dial a number rather than connecting it gives back dial-tone (still displays number in display though).
Also, no lights on the t1 card, no synch, no nothing. The status light is blinking though witht the rest of the cards. (maybe the led's are burnt out?)

Bad T1 card? Services board? I've got both (also cabinet, sync, etc.) on the shelf, if you need either.
I'm checking with my office regarding the PM you sent me. I'll get back with you later today.
