Does anyone know how to program a Comdial DSUII to do the following...

1) Incoming lines to NOT ring on a station.

2) Fix a ADIAL button. I have an ADIAL button that says "INVALID ENTRY" when I try to program a phone number on it. When I was programing the number I mistakenly chose "*" for the line and that seemed to break the button.

Tom:

Making incoming lines ring or not ring on stations is for installer-type expertise. Do you have a DSUII manual?? Have you programmed a DSUII before??
If you haven't--it might be time to make friends with a Comdial tecnician in your area.

Here's what the userguide says about programming the ADIAL:
To put a number in to an AUTODIAL BUTTON --with no line being accessed

Select options and go to adial then select your location. Line selection is 0 (zero). Then enter your phone number. If you do not have LCD phones, use ITCM** 1, then location, line 0, phone number.

To blank a button--try Itcm **1--press the button to be blanked---then press SPKR button.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your response. I was able to "Blank" the button! ITCM** 1 worked.

Per your advice I dug out the the DSU II manual and was able to make the station stop ringing. I used...

INTERCOM XXXXXXX 54 1 # [Station#] 19 * Speaker

That worked. 54 is the STA/LINE CONFIG code, 1 is the DIRECT RING code. If you want a station to ring select the line number after the 1 and before the #. If you don't want it to ring leave it bank as in my example.
