thanks for all the replys...at the time my manual was printed, the tx232 was a future option. the phone system is working just fine, so my interest is in education. (what it is and what it can do). if the cost is reasonable, i'd be interested in the option. thanks again guys for the response....ted.

Good thing, too, as the one I had was tagged bad! I should know because I'm the one that replaced it about 6 years ago!! The only thing it does is allow for SMDR. You can do no programming as the manual alluded to. Log in was allowed but no programming.
