I am working on an FX-II with 4 iprimo remote phones. This is a new install on an existing network. I can connect locally and remotely with the same results. The phone registers on the system and seems to connect fine. The display reads as it should. I have UDP ports 2076-2078 forwarded to the internal IP of the card, as well as TCP port 2078. The connection is there but no audio. I cannot hear voicemail recording or remote party. However when placed on hold, I can hear the MOH. I get the same results locally and remotely. Any Ideas would be great all Comdial will give me is "check the UDP ports".

Same post in VoIP. It is a UDP blockage problem.

LOL. Good luck. Again if you get the screens and no audio you have a UDP issue.

Terry, have you taken your own hub or unmanaged switch to site and put the card and the phones on it, and then set the phones to static? That would prove/disprove the UDP issue. I told Shawn the same thing: UDP port issue. Been there, done that. But what I suggested should prove one way or the other. Good luck buddy!

Thanks Justin. I will let you know how it goes. That is the only thing I have not done. I have been using their equipment onsite. Ballantine...

Yeah, I know. I'm just thinking that switch in the phone room may possibly be managed, and causing the problem. Get as dumb a switch as you can find. Justin

Here's an update:
They got it figured out on their own. Without asking the right question, or seeing the database, I don't think I would have figured this out, unless the idea just popped in my head. I think those of us who have installed VOIP cards, PRI cards, etc. know of this limitation.
The new card happened to be in a ribbon expansion cabinet. Okay so far, right? That ribbon expansion cabinet happened to be connected to a SCSI expansion cabinet. If I remember correctly, there were documented instructions regarding having certain cards in a SCSI expansion cabinet (which would include the ribbon cabinet off of the SCSI cabinet).
Once the card was moved down into the main cabinet, the card worked as it should. Prior to doing this they ruled out the network issue by connecting the card and the phone to a "dumb" Linksys switch.
One problem since then: on the FXISTM-Cxx card that they moved from the main cabinet to the 3rd cabinet (ribbon off of the SCSI), none of the stations worked. I seem to remember an issue with these cards in the expansion, but I thought that had since been resolved. Somebody please help me out with my memory. They moved it by "dragging" the card in VMMI, then physically relocating the card. The port numbers are showing up correctly on the relocated card (it retained the original numbers from it's old main cabinet location).
Way to go guys, on figuring out the problem with the VOIP card!
