I have a DSU II system with 5 out side lines connected. Normally, when I pick up the phone, system will auto assign an available line to make a call. However, Something happened. The line2 is always not picked and I try to menu push line 2 button to select the line. I hear nothing. No dial tone. I use a cell phone to call line2 phone number and it does not pick up by system. It just ring forever. Please help me.

No dial tone.
1. That possibly means you have no live line going into your DSUII. Have you had some storms lately?? Perhaps the lightning protection has been been hit. Check D-Mark. If there is DT there, replace lightning protection.
2. Bad line port two. Possibly hit by lightning.
3. Your local carrier has problems with that line. It may be their problem. If that's the case--you need to notify them.
If you are not familiar with troubleshooting--you may want to call in a Comdial tech. The price of a service call will be well worth it.

If you folks do have dial tone at the Dmarc,you should have an extra available port on the system that you can have a tech reassign to the extensions for the users to select.You can even reassign the extra port to the same buttons on all extensions and rename the extra line (line 2)
