I have a DXP which has centrex lines. When a phone hits the tap key to start the transfer process, you get dial tone from the trunk but you can't dial anything. I am assuming this is a programming issue. What would be causing this problem and how would you program to fix.

Earlier this year I had one of my DXP sites move to a modified centrex like dialing plan. They could dial 4 specific codes to effect a transfer to 4 numbers and this was predicated upon using Tap. I had to modify certain default feature codes and as I recall had to modify some other parameters. I played with different settings before it functioned 100 percent.

Thru dialing, perhaps? The flash timing seems to be correct, if you are getting new C.O. dial tone, rather than intercom dial tone. There's also a parameter that would control what you get when you press Tap, but I believe it's either Flash to C.O. or internal feature.
