This is a DX-80 tandem KSU set-up that I've serviced for about 5 years without knowing a whole lot about it. For some unknown reason, about 5 mailboxes do not have the correct password including the Admin mailbox. So, instead of getting into programming using a set (like I usually do), I fired up Key-Link to put the passwords back. After I got out, the AA does not answer because the ports (157 etc.) are not in Hunt Group 433 anymore.

I need to correct that--The ports (exts 157-160) are still in Hunt Group 433. But, when I dial 157,the phone displays OUT OF SERVICE.

Have you reset the phone system? What happens when you dial 433? Do 158, 159, 160 still work?

Is this a hardrive-type card or the flash?

By "tandem" do you mean two KSUs?? Main plus expansion?

Yeah, 2 KSUs. I have reset. 433 displays NO LEGAL MEMBER. 158,159, and 160 display OUT OF SERVICE. Key-Link connects fine but I think the AA/VM card is shot.

Sorry I don't think of everything before I hit Reply. Can I replace it with a flash model? And where can I get the PC-DBA programming utility for programming the KSU? Any info appreciated.

Hey guys, my Comdial just crashed. I'm new to the company and went into the telecom closet to see what the system looks like. I moved the monitor and the clunker died. Looks like an old 386 desktop so I gather. Now I have no AA or VM service. I have a call out to the Vendor but is there any suggetions that I can do in the interim?

"thanks for the knowledge folks!!!"

bsam yes you can replace it with a flash model. You need to know what software rev the DX80 is running to get the best flash match.

first thing I would do is verify you have power going to the unit

(In the future your better served by starting a new thread rather than hopping on a existing one )

ADUB..are the lines ringing to a receptionist phone since the VM died? Without knowing what model Comdial system you are hooked up to it's kinda hard to give any advice. What telephone system model is the voice mail installed on? As Skip just chimed in with you might get more attention by starting a new topic instead of getting on the tailend of a different system/mail type.
