Hello,

Numbers in SLC now have to be entered with the area code 801. I have numbers stored in speed dial location 500 and up stored without the area code. I'm trying to access the system # location, but following the COMDIAL DX-80 USER GUIDE doesn't help me into changing any location 500 or greater. I can only change location 470-499. Can somebody please help? Thank you.

The 500 series speed dial bins are system bins. The 470 series bins are extension (station) bins.
So, I think you have to go to the attendant designated phone set to administer the system bins. It generally is 101..but maybe not. It is generally the phone that has the nite key on it if there is one. Also---try dialing "0" and see what phones rings---sometimes..that is the attendant phone.

I don't think you can program a 500 series bin from another non-attendant phone.

I've just tried all 4 phones we have here and still cannot get into programming the 500 system series. The manual say to hit Feature 1, then dial ext but only 470+ will work. Frustrating!

I'll have to see if I have a cheat sheet on this. I usually do this remotely for my customers---it's part of system programming.
I'll be back later on tonight, maybe someone will pop up with an answer in the meantime.
